Britax Latest To Pull Strollers Over Amputation Risk

Law360, New York (February 12, 2010, 1:43 PM EST) -- Britax Child Safety Inc. has become the latest company to recall strollers over concerns that the products can amputate children's fingertips.

The recall affects all of Britax's “Blink” single umbrella strollers that were manufactured between May 2009 and September 2009 and sold in the U.S. and Canada, the company said Wednesday. Britax is working with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Canadian health authorities to notify consumers.

According to the CPSC, there are about 14,000 of these strollers in the U.S. and 900 in Canada....
