Judge Yanks Jury, Acquits Stanford Shredders

Law360, New York (February 16, 2010, 6:15 PM EST) -- A federal judge has stopped a jury's deliberations and acquitted the two Stanford Financial Group executives accused of illegally shredding documents related the firm's alleged Ponzi scheme.

Visiting Judge Richard Goldberg of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida on Friday acquitted Thomas Raffanello and Bruce Perraud, executives at Stanford's Fort Lauderdale, Fla., office.
