Boeing Employees Riled Over Computer Theft

Law360, New York (December 13, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- A Boeing Co. laptop containing sensitive information for hundreds of thousands of retirees and current employees has been stolen, marking the third such security breach in a little over a year.

The aerospace giant revealed the theft on Tuesday, which has put nearly 382,000 past and present workers at risk for identity theft or possible credit card fraud.

The computer files contained names, social security numbers and, for most people, home addresses, telephone numbers, date of birth and salary details, according to Boeing.
