U.S. Unit Of Paper Giant Hit With Price-Fixing Charges

Law360, New York (December 13, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Months after European regulators closed the book on their investigation into cartels in the fine paper industry, a U.S. unit of Finnish paper giant Stora Enso Oyj has been indicted in a federal court on charges of price-fixing.

On Wednesday, the U.S. Department of Justice revealed that Stora Enso North America had been charged with conspiring to fix the prices of certain coated paper products, Reuters reported.
