Morgan Stanley's Legal Head Shifts To Vice Chair

Law360, New York (February 24, 2010, 2:57 PM EST) -- Morgan Stanley Chief Legal Officer Gary Lynch plans to step down from that position to focus on relations with European regulators as vice chairman, the latest in a string of management shuffles since James P. Gorman was appointed chief executive of the financial giant earlier this year.

Lynch, who relocated to London last year and became vice chairman of the firm while remaining chief legal officer, has decided to relinquish his legal post and instead concentrate on his senior management responsibilities, according to an internal memo...
