CVS Faces Suit Over Botched IPod Accessories Deal

Law360, New York (February 25, 2010, 2:00 PM EST) -- A supplier of accessories for portable electronics including Apple Inc.’s iPod has filed a suit against CVS Caremark Corp., claiming the retailer promised to stock its U.S. stores with the company’s products and then backed out to sign a deal with a rival selling an infringing version.

SFD Enterprise LLC lodged a complaint Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, alleging CVS reneged on a verbal commitment and bought iPod accessories from Symtek Inc., a competitor making “clone” products that infringe...
