Bayer To Contribute To Fees Fund In Tainted Rice MDL

Law360, New York (February 25, 2010, 6:28 PM EST) -- The federal judge overseeing multidistrict litigation over Bayer AG's genetically modified long-grain rice has agreed to the creation of a common benefit trust fund to pay plaintiffs' lawyers, which will require Bayer to contribute a portion of funds it owes in federal but not state court settlements.
