Citgo Wants EPA To Hand Over Docs On La. Oil Spill

Law360, New York (March 1, 2010, 4:42 PM EST) -- In the U.S. government's civil suit over a 2006 oil spill in Louisiana, Citgo Petroleum Corp. has asked a federal judge to order the Environmental Protection Agency to produce documents related to the incident, arguing that they are not protected work products.

The oil company on Friday filed a motion to compel the EPA to produce the material in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, along with a motion seeking production of related documents by Louisiana, the federal agency's co-plaintiff.
