5th Circ. Upholds Toss Of Dollar General Sex Bias Suit

Law360, New York (March 1, 2010, 4:46 PM EST) -- A federal appeals court has upheld a ruling in favor of Dollar General in a gender discrimination suit, saying the fired store manager plaintiff did not file her complaint on time.

On Friday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit affirmed a motion to dismiss the suit brought by Linda Stokes against her former employer Dolgencorp Inc., which does business as Dollar General.

Stokes was allegedly suspended in 2006 from her job as a retail store manager, pending an investigation into incorrect payroll submissions....
