New Trial Ordered In Comaper Computer Patent Spat

Law360, New York (March 2, 2010, 2:16 PM EST) -- A federal appeals court has ordered a new trial for a computer parts maker found to infringe Comaper Corp.'s computer cooling systems patent, pointing to inconsistencies in the jury's validity determination on some claims.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit on Monday said the jury in Comaper's infringement suit against rival Antec Inc. inconsistently invalidated three claims for obviousness while upholding the validity of the root claims from which they depend.
