Accenture, Guidewire Patent Fight Stayed For Bilski

Law360, New York (March 2, 2010, 6:50 PM EST) -- A federal judge has stayed a fight between Accenture Global Service GmbH and rival Guidewire Software Inc. over patents for insurance claims processing software until the U.S. Supreme Court rules in Bilski v. Doll.

Judge Sue L. Robinson of the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware said in a ruling Friday that the pending high court ruling in Bilski v. Doll could so alter the landscape for patent cases that motions for summary judgment filed by Guidewire should be delayed.
