Home City Docked $9M For Ice Conspiracy

Law360, New York (March 2, 2010, 7:36 PM EST) -- The Home City Ice Co. was hit Tuesday with a $9 million criminal fine for conspiring to divvy up the prepackaged ice market and suppress competition, becoming the second ice manufacturer sentenced in the last three weeks as part of an ongoing antitrust investigation.

Judge Herman J. Weber sentenced Home City in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, the U.S. Department of Justice announced, adding $9 million to the $13.5 million the ice company has agreed to pay to settle civil claims...
