Funai Sues Daewoo Over VCR Patents

Law360 (May 28, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Japanese electronics maker Funai has sued Korean rival Daewoo Electronics in a U.S. district court over several patents for technology used in video cassette recorders.

The complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Northern California, alleges that Daewoo’s VCRs, including the company’s digital video recorders, infringe six patents held by Funai.
