Pollution Claims Trimmed In Fla. Sewage Suit

Law360, New York (March 3, 2010, 6:41 PM EST) -- A federal judge has ruled that some pollution claims against the Jacksonville Electric Authority in Florida should be barred under statutes that prohibit private citizens from bringing such claims in cases where the state has already prosecuted them.

Judge Marcia Morales Howard ruled Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida that part of JEA's motion for summary judgment should be granted because certain claims were not allowed.
