Court Hangs Up On AT&T Phone Line Sharing Suit

Law360, New York (March 4, 2010, 4:24 PM EST) -- A federal court has dismissed a suit brought by an AT&T Inc. subsidiary seeking to bar the Michigan Public Service Commission from forcing the telephone company to agree to terms for sharing its lines with subsidiaries of rival Sprint Nextel Corp.

The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan on Tuesday dismissed a suit Michigan Bell Telephone Co. brought against members of the Michigan Public Service Commission as well as Sprint Communications Co. LP, Sprint Spectrum LP and Nextel West Corp.
