Generant Settles With US Over Nuts And Bolts Duties

Law360, New York (March 10, 2010, 1:29 PM EST) -- Valve and fitting importer Generant Co. Inc. has settled disputes with the U.S. government in a pair of duty rate suits over imported nuts and bolts, abandoning claims on certain models in exchange for refunds on others.

Generant and the U.S. signed an agreed stipulation on Tuesday in the U.S. Court of International Trade, paving the way for judgment in a case challenging the 5 percent duty rate on imported stainless steel nuts, stainless steel bulkhead nuts and stainless steel ferrules.
