General Medicine Tries Again For $376M Judgment

Law360 (March 10, 2010, 3:56 PM EST) -- Geriatric medical services company General Medicine PC has lodged a notice of appeal in another attempt to reinstate a $376 million consent judgment it entered into with a former subsidiary of HealthSouth Corp.

The appeal, filed Tuesday, will move the long-running breach of contract case from the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

General Medicine is appealing orders setting aside the $376 million consent judgment and denying its motion to enforce the settlement agreement.
