Aleris' Disclosure Statement Gets Go-Ahead

Law360, New York (March 16, 2010, 1:09 PM EDT) -- A bankruptcy judge has greenlighted Aleris International Inc.'s disclosure statement, which aims to launch the aluminum products and recycling firm out of Chapter 11 by the middle of 2010 after it emerges as a privately held venture.

Judge Brendan L. Shannon of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware signed off on Aleris' disclosure statement Friday, authorizing the company to begin the process of soliciting approval for its reorganization plan from eligible creditors.
