Teleflex Issues IV Recall Over Possible Contamination

Law360, New York (March 16, 2010, 2:41 PM EDT) -- Medical technology company Teleflex Inc. has begun a full recall of intravenous tubing and certain catheters made by subsidiary Arrow International Inc., following testing that revealed pinholes in some product packaging.

“It has been determined that product sterility cannot be guaranteed,” North Carolina-based Teleflex said in a statement Friday. “If product sterility has been compromised, there is a potential for infection, which could lead to serious injury or death.”
