EMC Sues Ex-Employees Over New Rival Company

Law360, New York (March 17, 2010, 2:23 PM EDT) -- EMC Corp. has sued two former employees for allegedly using proprietary information to start a rival consulting company, an action EMC says violates an agreement the pair signed when it hired them and acquired their former business for more than $200 million.

Emanuel Arturi and Francis Casagrande each reaped in excess of $50 million when EMC bought their consulting venture and the deal was contingent on the pair not exploiting for their own benefit the confidential material they acquired for EMC in the deal's aftermath, according...
