Continental Tire Ruled Not Liable For 7-Year-Old's Death

Law360, New York (March 18, 2010, 3:04 PM EDT) -- Ruling that no jury could find Continental Tire North America Inc. liable for a 7-year-old Florida girl's auto accident death, a federal judge has thrown out a lawsuit accusing the tire maker of negligence.

Judge Timothy J. Corrigan's ruling, issued Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, upheld Continental's argument that the lawsuit brought by plaintiff Adam B. Beauregard, the girl's brother, failed to allege the tire was the cause.
