Chantix MDL Plaintiffs Roll Out Master Complaint

Law360, New York (March 19, 2010, 2:14 PM EDT) -- Plaintiffs in multidistrict litigation accusing Pfizer Inc. of downplaying the dangerous side effects of the anti-smoking drug Chantix have filed a master complaint for individual claims.

The master consolidated complaint for individual claims, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, provides plaintiffs with a streamlined way to join the MDL alleging Pfizer failed to warn about the many dangers of Chantix, including the increased risk of depression and suicide.
