Ashland Appeals Dismissal Of Oppenheimer ARS Suit

Law360, New York (March 22, 2010, 12:24 PM EDT) -- Ashland Inc. is appealing a judge's decision to toss its allegations that Oppenheimer & Co. misrepresented the quality and risk exposure of auction rate securities and convinced Ashland to buy $200 million in ARS that lost their value.

The chemical and Valvoline-brand oil maker filed notice of its appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky on Friday.
