Ousted Dean Sues University For Discrimination

Law360, New York (January 3, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A well-known speaker, author and advocate for black men in higher education filed a civil action against the University of Wisconsin for allegedly ousting him from his position as dean because he is black.

Lee Jones, the dean of the School of Graduate Studies and Continuing Education at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater from July 2004 to the end of 2005, claims that in an audit of his expenses, he was humiliated and falsely accused of misusing the school’s credit cards and cell phone.
