Legislators Fight To Revive Yucca Nuclear Waste Plan

Law360, New York (March 24, 2010, 3:16 PM EDT) -- A bipartisan group of lawmakers led by Rep. Jay Inslee, D-Wash., has launched a battle against the Obama administration's recent move to pull the plug on a controversial but long-standing proposal to open a nuclear waste repository at Yucca Mountain in Nevada.

The group introduced a resolution of disapproval Tuesday that would compel the U.S. Department of Energy to cease its efforts to drop the license application for the Yucca Mountain facility.
