Actor Sues Vodka Brand Over "Absolut Hunk" Ad

Law360, New York (June 8, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An actor who posed for a fictional advertisement for the vodka brand Absolut in the popular television show “Sex and the City” has sued the Absolut Spirits Company for abusing his image in an unauthorized marketing campaign.

"Sex and the City" actor Jason Lewis filed a civil lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court in May claiming that the Absolut Spirits Company misappropriated his name and likeness in a fictitious ad campaign that was only intended for the HBO series.
