Senate Panel Approves School Food Recall Notices

Law360, New York (March 25, 2010, 1:15 PM EDT) -- The Senate Agriculture Committee has advanced legislation that would compel federal agencies to properly alert schools about food contamination outbreaks and recalls, part of the panel's broad overhaul of school nutrition programs and standards.

Senate Agriculture Committee members voted unanimously Wednesday to send the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 to the Senate floor.
