Swiss Competition Regulator Probing Nikon: Report

Law360, New York (March 25, 2010, 4:35 PM EDT) -- Switzerland's competition watchdog has reportedly launched an investigation into alleged importation-restricting practices by Nikon Corp., recently searching the company's Zurich office.

Japan-based Kyodo News reported Thursday that the Swiss Competition Commission, or Comco, searched the company's office on Wednesday as part of a probe into anticompetitive practices. The commission is investigating whether the Swiss subsidiary of the Japan-based camera maker has been preventing other companies from importing some of its products, the news agency reported.
