Report Warns Agencies About Probationary Workers

Law360 (January 4, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Federal agencies must brace themselves for probationary employees to potentially strike back if they are terminated, a new report suggests.

The Merit Systems Protection Board released the study, titled “Navigating the Probationary Period After Van Wersch and McCormick,” this week, seeking to examine the challenges attached to the probationary period for employers in light of two crucial court decisions.
