Partner's Pay Spat With Sonnenschein Revived

Law360, New York (April 5, 2010, 6:06 PM EDT) -- A former partner at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP has won his bid to resurrect a breach of contract lawsuit alleging the firm enticed him to give up his equity partnership status and then shorted him on pay.

Former partner Donald P. Horwitz adequately pled his claims, the Illinois Appellate Court for the First District said in an opinion made public Thursday. The court's decision overturns a ruling by the Circuit Court for Cook County, Ill., which had granted Sonnenschein's dismissal request.
