New Bill Clears Path For $4 Generics

Law360 (January 8, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A Minnesota state representative is seeking to revamp a decades-old pricing law that retail pharmaceutical giants Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and Target Corp. claim prevents them from offering certain generics drugs at $4 in the state.

Rep. Joe Atkins, the new chairman of the state’s House Commerce and Labor Committee, on Friday unveiled his proposal to amend a law that has been painted as an obstacle to the generics program.
