Suncor Insurers Drill Contractors With $630M Suit

Law360, New York (January 8, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- After a disastrous fire that caused nearly $1 billion worth of damage, Suncor Energy Inc. has slapped engineering firms Bantrel Co., Bechtel Group Inc. and several others with a lawsuit for installing allegedly faulty equipment.

The Canadian company sued the engineering contractors on behalf of its insurers, filing suit on December 28 in the Court of Queens Bench in Calgary.
