Trustee Seeks To Freeze Rothstein Adviser's $33M

Law360, New York (April 8, 2010, 2:01 PM EDT) -- The Chapter 11 trustee for Scott W. Rothstein's defunct Florida law firm has asked a bankruptcy judge to freeze $33 million in assets held by a financial adviser who allegedly played a role in Rothstein's $1.2 billion Ponzi scheme.

Chapter 11 Trustee Herbert Stettin moved for a preliminary injunction in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida on Tuesday to bar Miami-Dade-based Michael Szafranski from spending the approximately $33 million in assets.
