Sullivan Guides British Airways In $7.5B Iberia Deal

Law360, New York (April 8, 2010, 4:35 PM EDT) -- British Airways PLC and Iberia Group said Thursday they had signed a final merger agreement in a deal estimated to be worth $7.5 billion.

Under the deal, British Airways shareholders will control 56 percent of the merged company — which will be known as International Airlines Group — and its CEO Willie Walsh will take the helm.

If the merger is approved, the new company would be one of the world's largest airline groups, with more than 400 aircraft flying to 200 cities, according to Iberia....
