Sanders Sued Over Employee Status Under FLSA

Law360, New York (January 9, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Sanders Oil Co. has been hit with a putative class action suit by employees who say the company misled them regarding their status under federal law and failed to pay overtime as required.

The suit, brought on behalf of three named Sanders employees and those similarly situated, was filed Monday in federal court in northern Mississippi.

The named employees are Kay P. Brown, Christine A. Jethrow and Mae O. Little, all Mississippi residents.
