Mayer Brown Sheds Nearly 30 Attys

Law360, New York (April 8, 2010, 5:16 PM EDT) -- Though 2010 has brought relative calm to some associates, with many firms lifting salary freezes and even doling out compensatory raises in some cases, Mayer Brown LLP has reportedly decided to cut close to 30 attorneys.

After “careful consideration” the firm decided to let go 28 associates and 47 staff members, according to an e-mail leaked from a Mayer Brown attorney to legal blog Above the Law.
