NM Energy Cos. Sued Over Coal Waste Pollution

Law360, New York (April 9, 2010, 2:10 PM EDT) -- The Sierra Club has launched an environmental citizen suit accusing the owners and operators of a New Mexico coal mine and generating station — including San Juan Coal Co. and PNM Resources Inc. — of contaminating the surrounding surface water and groundwater with deposits of coal combustion waste.
