Neb. Approves Law To Attract Clean Energy Projects

Law360, New York (April 12, 2010, 4:13 PM EDT) -- Nebraska has passed a bill that will institute a new process for approving private renewable energy projects, marking a notable shift for a state that relies entirely on public utilities for its power.

Gov. Dave Heineman signed the energy bill, which was unanimously passed by the state's Legislature, into law Monday. Nebraska Sen. Chris Langemeier, chairman of the Committee on Natural Resources, introduced the bill in January.
