Humane Society Asks DOJ To Probe Egg Price Scam

Law360, New York (April 12, 2010, 7:18 PM EDT) -- The Humane Society of the United States said Monday that it had asked the U.S. Department of Justice to begin a criminal investigation of the United Egg Producers, saying the trade association created an animal welfare program that was actually a scheme to drive up egg prices.
