Court Lifts Injunction On E.On/Endesa Deal

Law360, New York (January 10, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- After months of fighting and countless setbacks, the takeover of Spanish energy company Endesa SA by German utility E.On AG is on the verge of completion, after Spain’s highest court lifted an injunction blocking the merger.

The Spanish Supreme Court removed an injunction it had placed on a €22.6 bid for Endesa made by the Gas Natural, a utility company controlled by the Spanish government.
