Impax Laboratories Reacts To SEC Suspension

Law360, New York (January 10, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Impax Laboratories Inc. has countered a recent order by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to suspend its trading by saying that the suspension is not necessary to protect investors.

At the end of December, the SEC issued an order for an administrative proceeding to see whether the registration of Impax’ securities should be suspended or revoked since Impax hadn’t filed a financial report since September 2004.
