Doctor Withdraws Patent Suit For Pain Invention

Law360 (January 10, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- AN orthopedics doctor who sued medical device maker Stryker Corp. for allegedly stealing his pain relief inventions has withdrawn his action.

Florida doctor Thomas F. Winters filed a complaint last June alleging Michigan-based Stryker sold a pain relief device across the U.S that infringed on two patents he held.

The device is a portable machine used to administer pain relief after surgery.
