Ranbaxy's US Branch Recalls Antibiotics Over Color

Law360, New York (April 15, 2010, 5:25 PM EDT) -- The U.S. unit of Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd. has recalled two batches of antibiotics because consumers complained about the drugs' color.

Jacksonville, Fla.-based Ranbaxy Pharmaceuticals Inc., the U.S. branch of India's largest drugmaker, commenced a voluntary recall of its Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium for Oral Suspension from retailers.

The recall includes lot numbers 1910779 and 1910782 on the U.S market, which are set to expire in May 2010.
