US, EU, Others To Release Draft Version Of IP Treaty

Law360, New York (April 16, 2010, 5:01 PM EDT) -- Making progress in the latest round of negotiations, the U.S., the European Union and other governments negotiating an international treaty on intellectual property rights said Friday they would release a draft version detailing their plans for the anti-counterfeiting measure.

The latest weeklong negotiations in New Zealand wrapped up Friday, with the countries making "good progress ... toward narrowing existing differences" for the proposed Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement, the governments said.
