Intel Files Suit Against Transmeta

Law360, New York (January 11, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Intel Corp. has fired back at Transmeta Corp., which sued the chip maker for allegedly infringing 11 patents, filing an answer and counterclaims accusing Transmeta of infringing 7 Intel patents and asking the court to declare the patents asserted by Transmeta invalid.

Intel filed its answer, affirmative defenses and counterclaims on Tuesday, about three months after Transmeta first filed suit against Intel in federal court in Delaware.
