Canada Group Takes BC To Copyright Board

Law360, New York (October 24, 2003, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Access Copyright, The Canadian Copyright Licensing Agency, served notice to the government of British Columbia that it

will approach the Copyright Board of Canada to resolve the tariff issues to license photocopying of books, magazines, newspapers and journals by government staffers, the organization said Friday.

Access Copyright said it has concluded that, since the Agency and the BC government have been unable to reach an acceptable tariff after 10 long years of negotiations, the expense required to go to the Board will be worth the legal...
