Law360, New York (May 10, 2010, 11:54 AM EDT) -- New Zealand appears likely to become the latest nation to join the trend of imposing criminal sanctions for hard-core cartel behavior. A discussion paper issued by the government’s Ministry of Economic Development on “Cartel Criminalization” gives the impression that it is highly likely that cartel conduct will be made a criminal offense in late 2010 or 2011.
