Quanta Appeals $14.5M Hit In Disk Drive Patent Suit

Law360, New York (April 21, 2010, 2:54 PM EDT) -- Quanta Computer Inc. has decided to appeal a jury's award of $14.5 million in damages to Ricoh Co. Ltd. in an infringement dispute over two patents related to rewritable disk drive technology.

Quanta filed a notice of appeal Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, signaling it will contest the jury's finding that it indirectly infringed the patents.
