Meisenheimer Ducks $1M In Sanctions In Secrets Suit

Law360, New York (April 26, 2010, 5:15 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has reversed a sanctions order levied against San Diego-based Meisenheimer Herron & Steele PC for its work on a trade secrets case against computer printer manufacturer Lexmark International Inc., saving the law firm about $1 million.

Meisenheimer should have known that the case lodged against Lexmark had no hope, but the evidence does not suggest that firm acted in bad faith, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit ruled Wednesday.
