Sens. Grill 2nd Circ. Nominee On Death Penalty

Law360, New York (April 28, 2010, 5:46 PM EDT) -- Federal appeals court nominee Judge Robert Chatigny was pressed by Republican senators at a confirmation hearing Wednesday on whether he overstepped his judicial role by seeking to delay the execution of an admitted serial killer.

Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., acknowledged that Judge Chatigny has "great character" at the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Judge Chatigny's nomination to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
